Recent App Smackdown
On July 1st, the Summer CRTs held an App Smackdown. Lots of great apps were shared with the attendees. Below is a shelf from the edshelf site (a cool site to check out as well!). Click on the images below to check out the apps shared. But remember "its not about the apps its about the verbs" -- what do you want the students to learn.

Infographic To Visualize Learning
Today we explored some possible sites for creating info graphics. After trying several we decided that we liked easil.ly. Just as the name says - this site is easy to use. So check it out.
Are you using info graphics? Any tips to share?

Blogger Available on PunApps

Did you know you can create a blog for your class?
Blogger was recently added to the selection of apps through Google Apps for Education. Below is a quick YouTube tutorial on how to start using Blogger.
Why use Blogger?
Blogger is a great resource to create dialog with students and between students on topics related to curriculum, student life or other student interests. And you have the ability to close the blog to protect student privacy.
We recommend checking out Blogger but would love to hear how others are using it in their classes, with students or with parents.
